Doctors have taken the personal touch of The Doctor and Patient relationship out of the equation.They also have taken the hippocratic Oath of doing no harm And threw it out the Window along with the bedside manner … Everything is about the computer ..Doctors have become so complacent and Now do everything through the computer These days.. Such as When a doctor prescribes a medication, That is used monthly on a constant basis,to control the medical problem the patient is having…So The patient takes the medication regularly .Now the prescription runs out..The Pharmacy Has to call for a refill to be able to fill the prescription.. But the Pharmacy does not get ahold of the actual Doctor who the patient is Seeing,Because Most Pharmacies run Refills through the Fax Machine ( Yet another type Of Computer ) And Many Times it is after office hours ..But another Doctor Who is on call and covering for the doctors in that office, Receives the request for a refill of the medication that the patient needs .Now This Doctor  (Who doesn’t know the patient ,) Refuses to fill it as it is not their patient… So They send a note back through the fax machine That they Do Not know That Patient.. And Will Not Refill the Needed Medication ..All Because the Dr Did not ,Nor would not take the time to check the computer to see if the patient is seen by another Doctor In  that Office .So The Doctor on call  could fill a needed medication for the patient ..But does not nor will not Fill the medication.In Most cases the patient has to go without a much needed medication until she/he sees their Doctor. Another problem with the Health care in the United States, Is that Most If not All ,The Dr’s will not write a prescription until the patient sees the Dr Writing the prescription .Because most Doctors want that office fee they get from insurance companies as a means to get paid for writing the prescription (s) .Even when they know the patient and that they prescribed the Medication regularly…Which  is a Dam Shame. Because many People who have serious health issues and require medications to live ..Many Patients  barely can afford the Medication co-pays. Let Alone an Office Visit Co-Pay….Which is not necessary ,Because the patient in under the care of that doctor …So Filling Prescription are a part of caring for the patient. No Patient  should have to pay for a Dr to actually write the prescriptions they have been taking regularly and desperately needs the medication  to live ..This is extortion…. By means of with holding a patients medications for them  to  make an appointment they don’t need  ..For Doctors,Who Are  profiting  off writing a prescription(s) ..Patients are forced to keep an appointment for the prescription(s) they need …Just  so that doctors to get the dam Co-Pay and insurance fee that they get for the appointment in doing so ..This is wrong on many levels .Health insurance companies such as Blue cross, United,Neighborhood, and many many Other Health care  Insurance companies  have this Protocol in Place.They Do  so  As a means to bill the Government and private parties for health insurance fees that Should Not be Happening.  The health insurance industry is a Huge and  Over Inflated Industry ..One That costs Americans Hundreds of millions of dollars if not Billions of dollars each year..Especially With The Medicare and Medicaid Programs That Tax payers are flipping the bill for ..Our Government needs to stop the abuse of over inflating medical costs, Stop adding to the costs of medical help such as prescription refills .. and Stop Letting doctors use the office visits for filling prescriptions .. This is only making Doctors rich and making them Legal Drug Dealers at the Hand Of Our Government … There is so much that needs to change within our government for Healthcare  costs ..Yet each year the Medical costs get Higher and higher ..Between the Health Care Insurers , (The health care plans) ,Dr’s ,and the Big Pharma ,Now .The elderly have to chose between eating, heat and their prescriptions,Our veterans can’t afford their medications or medical equipment that they need  Because there is so many of them …Now they have to worry even more because Health care insurances are getting rich off the costs of health insurance and the bills they put upon their patients…Our Government has Privatized,Everything …… This is so wrong On many levels Yet No One Does A Dam thing ….As  the old saying goes the rich get richer and the poor get poorer and the middle class becomes no more ..Is This what we want for our Country’s Elders ,Our veterans and the Middle class working people ?Because we the working class citizens end up paying the bill for their greed and for their lack of care and concern for anyone or anything but their rich cronies ….We As American citizens need to stand up To To Our Politicians and for Our Rights..We Need to make the Politicians  accountable to the people who put them into office .-Us The Voters …Let them know we are not nor will not take this anymore .That Our Government needs stand up for the people ( The Voters) Who put them into their office ..Stop The Back room deals ,Stop the same politics as usual and stop the wasting of Our Tax payers money ,So Their Buddies can get richer ..Stop the over spending Of Our Tax dollars and stop the lies…..Let them know We Want Our Country back and We Want them to stop privatizing everything ..Especial  Medical care..Medical Care is a Necessity Not A Luxury……The Politicians have the best Health Insurance Money can Buy and They Are Not paying a penny for it….. We The Tax Payers are Paying the Bills for them…

  545. Thanks for the sensible critique. Me and my neighbor were just preparing to do some research about this. We got a grab a book from our local library but I think I learned more clear from this post. I’m very glad to see such great information being shared freely out there.
